Today I will be exploring the meaning and feeling of a particular color that has inspired me. My writing is a story about each piece and how it was created.

I have intensely studied color theory and facilitated workshops on the aspects of color and how it affects our lives. Feeling the vastness of color vibration in nature makes me want to capture the essence and beauty on canvas. Nature is always a starting point for me and it is a delight to consider where the inspiration comes from. Being highly inspired by the complete color palette of a rainbow, I have included a photo from a family property in Montana.

Welcome to the Sprezzatura Studio Blog. The studio and gallery were named after the Italian word “sprezzatura,” which by definition means “to perform a difficult task with grace and a lightness of touch so that it seems to be easy.” This concept is continuously encouraged in the studio, allowing work to be fun and letting the materials dictate part of the process and flow of each piece.
